Breast Reconstruction for Breast
Cancer and BRCA Women
My interest is in the total muscle-sparing technique of the deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) free flap – which is the gold standard in microvascular breast reconstruction in mastectomy patients. This provides optimal recovery to the abdominal core muscle group and reduces the risk of hernias and abdominal bulges. I am also experienced in implant-based reconstructions which play a role in the right group of patients.
As a female plastic surgeon, I have the added advantage of offering breast cancer and BRCA gene-positive patients the unique feminine perspective.
I also perform a range of other breast-related procedures:
- Correction of breast asymmetry
- Congenital breast deformity
- Breast Reduction
- Breast lift
- Breast enlargement
- Gynaecomastia
